Clipsal is the market leader in the electrical accessories, data communications, industrial and home automation markets.

Challenge

Having an extensive range of products, Clipsal wanted to make it easier for their customers (electricians) to access and make purchases from their large product database. They envisioned an interactive and functional catalogue that could be accessed by their customers while on the road. An eCommerce system built into their website would not be sufficient.

Solution

After reviewing Clipsal's requirements, DesignAvenue built an eCatalogue that was shipped to customers as a downloadable application on a CD and updated regularly via connection to the internet. The eCatalogue allows electricians to purchase products, generate quotes and invoices and view 3D modelling and video instructions of installations.
